Winslow High Schoool is particpated in WGME School Spirit Challenge and Food Drive for the Good Shepherd Food Bank In the challenge, we will be hosting a food drive to benefit the Good Shepherd Food Bank (organized by the students in Jobs for Maine’s Graduates (JMG) and Leadership 53.The food drive is a competition between Winslow HS and the other Maine schools. To date, WGME School Spirit Challenge has collected 714,160 lbs of food to help feed hungry Maine families. That is an astonishing amount – but they have their our eye on an even bigger number – 1 million!! Mr. Bell has thrown out a challenge to the entire community...if we can collect 50,000 pounds of food, he will let a student shave his head!!!! The culmination of the food drive is February 27th!!! This is our last day to collect food and money AND it is the date of our live Community Pep Rally! We will have the Pep Rally at Winslow High School in Mansfield Gymnasium starting at 6:00 AM. The rally will be telecast on CBS 13(WGME). It continues with numerous live reports and interviews from 6 a.m. – 7 a.m. on CBS 13and 7 a.m. – 8 a.m. on Fox 23 (WPFO). More Information.
